At the UK box office this weekend, Friday, 24th January 2020, there are 4 new releases looking to take your attention at the local multiplex and knock 1917 from the top of the UK box office chart next week.

First up at cinemas this week is The Grudge, a movie directed by Nicolas Pesce who also directed Eyes Of My Mother in 2017 which grossed £2 Thousand in the UK.

It stars Tara Westwood who is making a feature film debut.

The film also stars Junko Bailey who is making a feature film debut.

The Turning

Next on this weeks new release schedule is The Turning.

This new movie stars Mackenzie Davis who's last film was Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

It also stars Finn Wolfhard who also appeared in The Addams Family (2019).

The film is brought to us by 2 time director Floria Sigismondi.

The Personal History Of David Copperfield

Next up this week is The Personal History Of David Copperfield which is directed by Armando Iannucci who directed The Death Of Stalin in 2017.

It stars Dev Patel and Peter Capaldi.

The Public

Also this week there is The Public from director Emilio Estevez who also directed Men At Work in 1991.

The film features Alec Baldwin and Taylor Schilling in starring roles.
