This now means that director James Cameron, who remember has previously brought us The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, has the top 2 highest grossing films of all time globally, not bad going for a director who took 12 year to follow up the biggest film ever.

All that's left is for Avatar top Camerons current top global grosser Titanic, and with Avatar having a gross of over $1.1 Billion and Titanic having a world gross of $1.8 Billion it only has a gap of $700 Million to make up before is outdoes Titanic, at this rate it will do it in a couple of weeks.
