Inside Out 2 hangs onto the top spot at the US box office for a third weekend despite the challenge from newcomer A Quiet Place: Day One.

The Pixar animated sequel add $57.5 Million to its total gross over the weekend which now stands at $469 Million as it makes its way to a half billion US total.

Failing to topple the Pixar movie is the third film in the A Quiet Place franchise which lands at number 2 this weekend.

The origins movie to the series makes its debut at 2 with a decent $52 Million debut gross.
