Despicable Me 4 remains at the top of the UK box office this weekend for a second week despite the challenge from new movie Twisters which lands at number 2.
The fourth movie in the Despicable Me series stays on top of the box office with a second weekend gross of nearly £5 Million which takes its total gross to £17 Million.
This is very much in the ballpark of the series and should end up with a similar total gross.
Twisters, which is a spiritual sequel to the 1996 movie Twister lands at number 2 this weekend with just over £4 Million.
Comparing this to Twister it is above that movies £3 Million debut in 1996, adjusted for inflation Twister would have made nearly £6.5 Million.

The fourth movie in the Despicable me series holds onto the North American box office for a second weekend with a gross of $43 Million.
This gives the movie a total US gross after 2 weeks of $210 Million, more than $20 Million more than Despicable Me 3.
Highest debut this weekend is the Nicholas Cage serial killer movie Longlegs which makes its debut at number 2.
Inside Out 2 is the top grossing movie on this weeks chart as the movie sits at number 3 with over $570 Million.

The Despicable Me series expands to a fourth movie, not including the Minions spin off films, and this weekend the fourth movie in the series hits the UK box office at the top.
The movie takes £8.8 Million on its debut weekend, which is lower than the previous movie in the series which took £11 Million.
Inside Out 2 falls from the top to number 2 this weekend after spending 4 weeks at number 1, the movie has taken a total of £44.4 Million.

Animated sequel movie Inside Out 2 remains at the top of the UK box office for a 4th weekend taking an amazing £5 Million.
This gives the movie a total UK gross of over £40 Million which pushes is past Dune Part Two to become the top grossing movie of 2024 to date.
The top new movie of the weekend is director Ti West's third movie in his X trilogy starring Mia Goth Maxxxine.
The movie lands at number 4 on this weeks box office with a debut gross of £388,042.
