It is with absolutely no suprise at all the Avengers Infinity War is the top film in the US (and just about everywhere) this weekend, but with the high expectation given to the film it actually outperformed.

Early estimation are coming in with a weekend gross of $250 million, which would beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening weekend of $248 million making it the highest grossing opening ever.

These figures are with a Sunday estimate and Disney are thinking they may have this about $5 million lower than the true figure so we could see an opening weekend of $255 million - either way it is a massive record breaking figure for the film.

Avengers aside A Quite Place drops down to number 2 this weekend, the film has done incredibly well for a low budget horror, it has grossed $10.6 million this weekend bringing the total to $148 million.

At third is the Amy Schumer comedy I Feel Pretty which grosses $8.1 million over the weekend for a $30 million total.

Rampage sits at 4 this weekend with a $7 million weekend and an $80 million total and Black Panther shoots back up to number 5 with the release of Avengers Infinity War, the film this weeks takes $4.3 million which brings the total to an incredible $688 million.

You may not remember but for a brief time Mamma Mia! was the highest grossing film of all time in the UK!

Times have changed and super hero movies and Disney own the box office, its currently the 9th highest grossing film ever in the UK, but the good news is a sequel's on its way!

It's ten years later and most of the cast are back to sing more songs on a sun drenched island in the sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go again, which is set for a summer release ,and to top it off Cher will be making an appearance.

You can check out the first trailer, above, and start getting those Abba songs stuck in your head!

It's like it was 1991 again and there is a new Robin Hood film in production, this time it wont star an American with a fake British accent, it'll star an Australian with a fake British accent.

That Aussie will be Russell Crowe, and today USA Today has the first image of the man in his "Hood" gear, check out the image below.

The BBC currently has a TV series of Robin Hood running on Saturday night, it's now in it's 3rd series, I;m not a fan of the show but this could be what has ignited the reason for this film. Now don't get me wrong the film is being directed by Ridley Scott who is one of the best British directors alive and I usually love his movies, but the image of Robin Hood in the BBC promos is how I imagine Robin Hood to be.

The publicity still of Robin Hood looks more like someone caught Russell Crowe out on a Sunday afternoon taking the dog for a walk and he thought he would take a bow and arrow in case he saw some deer to shoot.

I'm not quite sure what different angle this film can have on the legend but I can tell you that I was more excited about Kevin Costner's Prince of Thieves back in 1991 than I am this.
