The new adaptation of the Superman~2025 movie remains at the top of the UK box office this weekend with a gross of £4.8 Million, a very reasonable 30% drop from last weekend.
The James Gunn directed movie has now taken a nice £16.3 Million in its first 10 days of release in the UK.
Coming in at number 4 this weekend is a new animated version of the Smurfs which takes £1.2 Million on its debut.

It was a tight contest this weekend for the top of the box office with IF~2024 taking over at the top of the UK box office by about £300,000.
The Ryan Reynolds starring movie took over at the top of the box office with a debut gross of £2.4 Million.
The last movie directed by John Krasinski A Quiet Place Part II made its debut at the top with £3.4 Million in June 2021.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes falls to number 2 this weekend but it put up a fight to keep the crown and only just lost out.
The movie has taken a very good £7.6 Million to date.
The Strangers: Chapter 1 also makes its debut on the UK box office top 5 at number 4 with £452,506.
The UK box office top 15 took a little more than last weekend which was a big low but the numbers a still no where near past movie summer seasons which is a worrying sign for the cinema industry.

It was the Super Bowl over the weekend in America and with no notable new relases Glass remained at the top with The Upside not far behind, Miss Bala was the top new film.
M. Night Shyamalan phycological comic book triller spends its third weekend at the top with a $9.5 million weeeknd.

Finishing off the top five in this very quiet weekend is the Oscar nominated animation which boosts its US total to $175.2 million after a $4.4 million weekend.
