News from around the web

When Bill & Ted Face The Music was changed from a theatrical release to a joint VOD release in the US it was feared the rest of the world would follow, but today its announced that it will get a UK cinema release in 23rd September.

UK cinemas have been slowly re-opening with safety precaution for COVID-19 over the last few weeks, and with the release in the next couple of weeks for Tenet movie distributers are hoping it will rejuvenate the box office.

To hear that the third Bill & Ted movie will not go direct to VOD and get a theatrical release in the UK is great news.

Bill & Ted Face The Music once again stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter and is set 30 years after the last movie and follows the two title characters and they try to write the song they are destined to write which will unite the world.

From reports people are still nervous about going to movie theatres especially as some members of the public are not adhering to safety precautions and not wearing masks, so if you go and see anything in the cinema please wear a mask.

Mulan is the other movie in contention at the moment, its going to Disney+ in the US in September but could easily get a theatrical release in the UK and other countries.

To whet your appetite for the new movie here is a clip from Twitter via IGN.

With the ever changing theatrical release schedule and many moving to streaming VOD services Bill & Ted Face The Music is again on the move, this time to 1st September and its getting a dual cinema and VOD release, we also got a new poster and mini trailer today!

The movie is directed by Dean Parisot and has a returning cast of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, who else could play Bill And Ted?

The release date has shifted to 1st September 2020 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic as has happened to so many films during the last 6 months, and in a move which should surprise no-one the movie will be released on streaming VOD services as well as a release in selected theatres.

Synopsis Of: The Movie

Now enduring the monotony of middle-aged life, William "Bill" S. Preston, Esq. and Theodore "Ted" Logan are warned by a visitor from the future of the need for them to create a song in 78 minutes that will save all life on Earth and the entire universe.

To soften the blow we are also treated to a new mini trailer which can be seen below.

We've been waiting for this a long time, arguably 25 years, and finally today, on Bill And Ted Day, Warner Bros. release the first trailer for Bill & Ted Face The Music.

After this wait we get to see the most prestigious duo 25 years after they were last seen, and the slackers aren't doing too well.

It seems they are yet to write the song which will unite the future, and the future is getting a little impatient.

The trailer gives very little away except what we know but hey, this is Bill And Ted dude.

The film gets released on 21st August, provided cinemas are open by then.
