£9.5 Million
$176.7 Million
$366.1 Million No surprises this weekend as Thunderbolts spends a second weekend at the top of the UK box office with a weekend gross of over £2 Million.
The movie has now taken a respectable £11.6 Million at the UK box office which means its now taken more than Captain America: The First Avenger from 2011.
In a quiet weekend for new movies the top new 'movie' this weekend is Ocean With David Attenborough which lands on the UK box office at number 4 with £574,551.
Highest new movie this weekend
The Marvels takes over at the top of the UK box office this weekend but with the third lowest of the MCU with only Captain America: The First Avenger (£2.9 Million) and The Incredible Hulk 2008, (£3.2 Million), if that can be considered an MCU movie?
This is clearly bad news for the Disney owned property, but despite the bad critical reviews the movie has had a good reception from the public who have on the whole liked the movie.
The question still has to be asked, has the public got MCU fatigue after more than 10 years of 3 or 4 movies a year?
Trolls Band Together falls to number 2 after its second visit to the top, the movie has taken £14 Million to date.
Also new on the top 5 this weekend is Tiger 3 which comes in with previews at number 5 with £425,668.
Highest new movie this weekend
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings made it 3 weeks at the top of the UK box office as the MCU's latest hero has no challange from new releases.
The highest new movie of the week is the Polish movie Small World from director Patryk Vega which made its debut at number 10 with a weekend gross of £106,493.
Sadly with a top 15 which grossed only £5.1 Million this is the lowest total gross for the UK box office in many a week, I think this is just pent up demand for the upcoming Bond movie No Time To Die which should give cinemas a massive boost and get people back in the habit of going cinemas after the pandemic closures.

This weekend saw the release of two of this summers most anticipated films, and sequels, in Finding Dory and Jason Bourne, and the forgetful little fish won the weekend.
Finding Dory debut weekend in the UK stands at &pond;8.1 million, and excellent opening by all means and not only one of Pixars highest in the UK but also one of the top animation openings.
Compared to 2003s Finding Nemo, and despite the more negative reviews, the film opens higher, but compared to ticket sales Dory (1.1 million) is half a million below Nemo (1.6 million).
Jason Bourne comes in a comfortable second place this week with £7.6 million which is the highest of the series to date.
The BFG falls from the top where it debuted last week to number 3 this week, although if you take in the whole week it is the top grossing movie (Monday - Sunday) with £9.1 million, total gross for the movie is £14 million.
