Forget the Resident Evil movies that were directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starred Milla Jovovich, from the look of this new trailer this one is a re-telling set in the world of the original video game.
The video game was first released on the Playstation 1 in 1996 and saw a group of soldiers trying to solve the mystery of Raccoon City when they get trapped in a large mansion infested with zombies.
And in this new trailer the moment you see the mansion hallway you are taken straight into the video game.
The new movie is directed by Johannes Roberts and stars Hannah John-Kamen and Kaya Scodelario and has a release date of December 3rd in the UK and November 24th in America.
There is also a new poster which you can see below.

Considering the world is still in the grips of a global pandemic and people are still nervious about going back to the cinema for a movie to get the best opening Labour Day weekend ever is quite comething, but the new movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has done just that.
The second movie in the MCU phase 4 series of movies opened to $71.4 Million, which is not as high as Black Widow's $80 Million but it is the second highest of the pandemic era.
Black Widow dropped quite fast and seemed to get upfront audience of people wanting to see the movie, good word of mouth with drive this movie forward and with a slow upcoming calendar of releases we could see this movie's gross climb to the highest of the year.
The movie has already broken into the top 10 movies of 2021 and after its debut release is number 9.
Last weekends top movie falls to number 2 this week as the horror remake/sequel takes $10.5 Million on its second weekend, a large but expected 53% drop over last weekend.
This takes the movies total US gross to $39 Million over its 2 weekends of release.
The smash hit number 1 movie falls to number 3 this weekend with a gross of $8.7 Million, another slim drop over last weekend of just 36%.
The movie has been on the box office for 4 weekends now and has taken $91.8 Million over that time and is the sixth top movie of 2021.
THe children's favourite falls to number 4 this weekend with $4 Million, a 40% drop, giving the movie a total US gross of $30.3 Million over 3 weeks of release.
Disney's action adventure movie falls to number 5 this weekend with $3.9 Million, a very slim 21% drop over last weekend.
This gives the Dwayne Johnson starring movie a total gross of $105.6 Million over its 6 weeks of release and its the 4th top movie of 2021.
