This weekend at the North American box office Alien: Romulus makes its debut at the top with a $42 Million debut gross.
This is a good start to the new Alien franchise movie with the previous movie Alien: Covenant making its debut with a $36.1 Million gross.
Deadpool and Wolverine get knocked down to number 2 this weekend as the movie takes $30 Million on its 4th weekend and has a $546.8 Million total.
Inside Out 2 stays on the top 15 movies this week and has taken $642.4 Million to date.

Reviving the Alien franchise director Fede Alvarez takes his new movie Alien: Romulus, set between Alien and Aliens to the top of the UK box office.
The movie lands at number 1 with a £3.7 Million gross, lower than the previous movie in the series by director Ridley Scott, Alien: Covenant which took £5.1 Million.
Dropping down to number 2 this weekend is It Ends With Us which takes £2.8 Million for a total gross of £11.3 Million.
Inside Out 2 continues to do well and remains at number 7 this weekend with a total gross of £55.5 Million.
Highest new movie this weekend
After a successful advanced showing last week which would have put the film at the top those figures go a long way to make sure that bad Neighbours knocked The Amazing Spider-Man 2 off it's perch this week.
Starring Seth Rogan and Zac Efron Bad Neighbours had no trouble de-throning the web slinger with an £8.5 million debut.
Spider-Man 2 falls into second place with £1.3 million bringing it's total gross to £22 million after 4 weeks.
