There were no new releases on the global box office top 10 this weekend although Fast and Furious 9 did get a large boost in its weekly gross as it gets a Chinese release.

Global box office top 5 breakdown weekend 6th - 8th August 2021
Starring Margot Robbie and Idris Elba among an all star cast, the second interpretation of the comic boob material makes its debut at number 10 last weekend and this week after a North American debut makes it to the top of the global box office.
The movie takes $61.5 Million from 71 countries, a massive 89% increase over last weekend, giving the film a total gross of $72.2 Milllion after 2 weeks on the box office.
The Disney movie based on a ride falls to number 2 this weekend with a global gross of $30.7 Million over the weekend from 50 countries, a 50% drop, giving the movie a 2 week gross of $121.8 Million.
The Chinese hit movie is still only released in the single country and this week falls to 3 on the global box office, but it still took $21.5 Million, a 42% drop over last weekend.
The movie has now taken $82.3 Million over its 2 weeks of release.
The latest movie from The Fast Saga has been on the box office for 12 weeks now and this week gets a boost from a Chinese release, it jumps from 8 to 4 and takes $13.2 Million from 62 countries, a 19% increase over last week.
The movies global gross now sits at $661 Million and its the third highest global movie of 2021.
Another movie jumping up the chart from 9 to number 5, the movie is only released in China and this week takes $9.5 Million, a slim 8% drop over last weekend, giving the film a total of $16 Million after 2 weeks of release.
Disney release their latest movie this weekend, Jungle Cruise, which hits the top of the global box office on its debut week of release.
Also making a high new entry is Chinese movie Raging Fire which makes its debut at number 2 and also from China is Upcoming Summer which is new at number 3.
Lower down the box office Escape From Mogadishu is a new entry and number 9 with $10.3 Million and The Suicide Squad is a new entry at number 10 with $7 Million from just 5 countries.

Global box office top 5 breakdown weekend 30th July - 1st August 2021
Disney's new movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt gets a release in 48 countries this week and makes its debut at the top of the box office with $61.7 Million .
Released only in China this crime thriller makes its debut at number 2 with $37.3 Million.
Another film only released to the Chinese market this week which makes its debut at number 3 with $20.6 Million
Falling from number 3 to 4 this week is the M. Night Shyamalan movie which takes $14.2 Million on its second weekend, a 38% drop, of release for a 48.6 Million total.
Falling to numer 5 this week from number 2 is the Marvel movie which takes $14.1 Million on its 4th weekend of release, a 46% drop, for a $343.5 Million total.
