Scream 7 follows in the footsteps of the previous movies in the long running Scream~1997 franchise and tops the North American box office this weekend on its debut.
The movie takes over at the top with and incredible debut of over $63.5 Million, the highest of the series to date.
Falling from the top this weekend is the animated movie GOAT~2026 which climbed to the top last weekend and falls just the single place to number 2 this week and has taken nearly $75 Million to date.

Coming from veteran horror director Sam Raimi this weeks new number 1 movie is Send help which tops the United Kingdom box office with a little over £1.5 Million.
Cinema is going through a period where there is no major blockbuster released at getting into released so when a movie likes this which got very little hype makes it to the top of the box office its worth celebrating.
Sam Raimi of course is no stranger to big buget blockbusters having direct the Toby Maguire Spider-Man trilogy and the MCU movie Doctor Strage and the Multiverse of Madness.
Falling from the top this weekend is Hamnet which has been on the box office for 5 weeks and has taken over £16.5 Million to date.
Highest new movie this weekend
The fourth film in the series of zombie infected movies, and a direct sequel to 28 Years Later, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple lands at the top of the UK box office this weekend with £3.3 Million.
The series is loosing steam as this is well over a million shy of the previous movie in the series which took £4.7 Million in its debut last year.
Falling from the top is The Housemaid~2025 which is at number 2 this weekend with a gross of £2.8 Million on its 4th weekeend of release.
The movie has shown incredible longevity in the UK and this weeks takes over from Avatar: Fire and Ash as the top movie of 2026 and has a total gross over £22 Million sice its release in 2025.
Highest new movie this weekend
After entering the box office last weekend at number 2 the new Disney animation Zootopia 2 makes the climb of 1 place to number 1 this weekend.
The movie does so with a second weekend gross of £4.23 Million which boosts its total UK gross to £11.74 Million, next weekend it will be one of the top 10 top grossing movies of 2025.
Highest new movie this weekend is sequel Five Nights At Freddys 2 which makes its debut at number 2.
The movie took £3.2 Million on its debut, £2 Million lower than the first movie.
Falling from the top is Wicked: For Good which drops to number 3 and has taken £37.6 Million after 3 weeks of release.
