$0 Maverick director Paul Thomas Anderson chose a couple of upcoming stars for his latest movie which is a coming of age love story set in 1973 which has been given a 15 age rating.
The movie stars Alana Haim as the 25 year old love interest of Cooper Hoffman with help from Sean Penn and Tom Waits.
The movie is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson who is best known for his fantastic observation of the porn industry in Boogie Nights.

At the UK box office this weekend, Friday, 7th February 2020, there are 4 new releases looking to take your attention at the local multiplex and knock 1917 from the top of the UK box office chart next week.
First up at cinemas this week is Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn), a movie directed by Cathy Yan who also directed Dead Pigs in 2018.
It stars Margot Robbie who last starred in Bombshell (2020).
The film also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead who last appeared in Gemini Man (2019).

This new movie stars Robert Downey Jr. who's last film was Avengers: Endgame (2019)
It also stars Antonio Banderas who appeared in The Laundromat (2019).
The film is brought to us by 4 time director Stephen Gaghan.
Next up this week is Parasite which is directed by Bong Joon Ho and is a directorial debut.
It stars Kang-ho Song and Sun-kyun Lee.
Also this week there is Underwater from director William Eubank who also directed The Signal in 2015.
The film features Kristen Stewart and Jessica Henwick in starring roles.

The Sonic The hedgehog movie didn't have an easy start with its first trailer, but current tracking is suggesting the film will open to $50 Million in America.
Website Deadline.com is reporting the Paramount is tracking the movie for a far better than expected debut weekend, a massive turnaround as the character of Sonic was largely criticised when the first trailer was released.
The films director Jeff Fowler then decided to delay the release from November 2019 to February 2020 to redo the blue hedgehog and give him more of a look that compliments the Sega video game.
This worked, and when the new trailer was released fans were happy and the turnaround for the movie has been fantastic with excitement generating for the film.
Jim Carey stars as Dr. Robotnik, and to be fair his performance was praised right from the start, while Ben Schwartz voices Sonic.
Will this excitement be reflected in the UK? The movie is also set for release on February 14th and with little competition, First Love and the horror remake of TV series Fantasy Island are released the same day, a debut gross of £2.5 - 3 Million could be on the cards.
