Sequel movie The Battle At Lake Changjin II holds the top of the global box office on its second weekend of release as it expands into a few movie countries and passes the half billion gross mark.

Highest new movie of the weekend is the Kenneth Branagh directed remake of Death on the Nile which lands at number 3.

Worth noting is that Spider-Man: No Way Home is still at number 6 this weekend as the movie tries to ger to the $2 Billion mark but this week its drop is a small 28% meaning its still pulling in audiences across the globe.

The Battle At Lake Changjin II

The Chinese made action drama remains at the top of the global box office this week as the movie expands into 5 countries and takes $43.7 Million over the weekend, a large 72% drop over last week, but expected after the Chinese holiday the movie launched in.

This gives the movie a total global gross of $524 Million after 2 weeks of release, and it is now the top grossing global movie of 2022.

Too Cool to Kill

Also doing well is the Chinese only release which remains at number 2 as the Xing Wenxiong directed movie takes $37.6 Million on its second weekend of release, a 66% drop over last week.

The movie has now taken $316.5 Million in the single country and is the 3rd top grossing movie of 2022.

Death On the Nile

The delayed release of this remake movie means Kenneth Branagh has 2 movie currently doing the rounds at the global cinema, altohugh Belfast has dropped out of the global top 10, for the moment.

This star studded movie makes its debut on the world stage at number 3 with 33.5 Million from 48 countries, and its the highest debuting movie of the weekend.

Nice View

Falling to number 4 this weekend is the Chinese only release from director Muye Wen which takes $21.6 Million on its second weekend, a 52% drop, giving it a $159.3 Million total.

Uncharted

Tom Holland returns to the box office, this time accompanied by Mark Wahlberg as the duo star in the video game adaptation which gets released in just 15 countries this weekend, it gets released in North America this coming Friday, clearly wanting to avoid the quiet Superbowl weekend.

The movie makes its debut at number 5 with $21.5 Million but expect that to just next weekend as it goes wider around the world.

Disney continue their run of live action movie re-images of classic cartoons with Dumbo which makes its box office debut at the top this weekend.

Dumbo

Tim Burton brings his unique style to the live action movie and charms audiences but leaves critics less than thrilled with the re-telling of the classic tale.

The films makes its UK debut with a healthy £6 million debut which makes it already the 16th top grossing film of 2019.

Captain Marvel

Four weeks on and the Marvel super hero movie is at number 2 with a weekend gross of £1.7 million.

This brings the films total Uk gross to £32.5 million and is, for the moment, the top grossing film of 2019.

Us

Jordan Peele's horror film missed out on the top spot last week and falls to 3 this week with £1.7 million pushing its total to £6 million.

Fishermans Friends

The British comedy falls to 4 this week but the film has had a successful run at the box office, this week it takes £629,247.

This takes the films total gross to £4.8 million after 3 weeks and should pass £5 million by next weekend.

What Men Want

Finally in the top 5 is the American comedy which takes £300,641 on its third weekend of release taking its total to £2.5 million.

Green Book

The Oscar winning movie has probably had the best run on the box office post ceremony and this week spends its 9th weekend on the box office with £95,129 and a £9.8 million total.

It should pass £10 million before it finishes its UK box office run.
