Barbie spends a fourth weekend at the top of the UK box office which means it now ties with Avatar: THe Way of Water and The Super Mario Bros Movie as the longest number 1 of 2023.
The movie is now by far the top grossing movie of 2023 with £78.2 Million and it probably wont be beaten going in the end of the year.
Oppenheimer still sits at number 2 behind Barbie but with a gross of £45.7 Million it is the third top movie of 2023.
Based on the Playstation video game Gran Turismo is the top new movie of the weekend at 4 with just over £1 Million, but this is a far cry from the £4.7 Million of Uncharted from 2022 which was also based on a Playstation video game.

The Greta Gerwig movie has now taken over £67.5 Million at the UK box office and is showing no sign of slowing down, it is second top grossing movie in the UK by a female director with Mamma Mia from director Phyllida Lloyd being the top, but Barbie should take that by next weekend.
Highest new movie of the weekend is Meg 2: The Trench which comes in at number 3 with £3.7 Million, a tiny increase over The Meg's £3.6 Million debut.

Talk to Me~2023 is the highest new entry this weekend at 5 with a debut gross of £643,547.

No other film mattered this week as Jurassic World stormed the world box office and left the competition behind.
Taking a staggering $511 million from 67 countries the dinosaur film has become the second biggest opening film of all time, behind Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 from 2011.
Time will tell how well the film will ultimately do but it's half way to the magic billion dollar mark and almost quarter of the way to beating Titanic, Avatar with $2.7 billion may be a little out of its reach.
Last week top film across the globe fell into second place this week, San Andreas takes $53 million from 69 countries and has now grossed $373.3 million.
