There is a new star studded adaptation of Louisa May Alcott classic novel Little Women coming this Christmas and today we get a new trailer.

With a cast boasting the likes of Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep, to name a few, you know this is going to be something special and judging from the trailer director Greta Gerwig who also brought us Lady Bird to critical acclaim in 2017 has done a fine job.

There have been a number adaptation of the novel hit the big screen with the most successful being the 1994 version directed by Gillian Armstrong and starring Winona Rider and Susan Sarandon which grossed nearly £3 Million in the UK.

This new version hits the big screen on December 26th 2019 and is set to be a big festive hit.

Check out the trailer below.

Not a lot of movement on the UK box office this week as Black Panther stays at the top for a fourth weekend and the top new film is at number 12.

The last time a film spent four consecutive weekends at the top was July 2017 when Dunkirk did it, Black panther has followed a very similar path and that film went on to make £44 million.

Black panther this weekend takes £2.9 million which brings the films total UK gross to £39.8 million, it is the top grossing film of the year, it has also just passed the $1 billion mark globally.

Breaking outside the top 10 briefly, with a lack of any big blockbusters this weekend the top new film of the week is You Were Never Really Here starring Joaquin Phoenix which is new at 12 with a weekend gross of £288,344.

Climbing to 2 this weekend is The Greatest Showman which is having one of the greatest box office runs ever, 11 weeks in and its not left the top 5 and its grossed over £1 million on each of those weeks.

This week it takes £1.5 million, an increase on last week, which brings its total gross to an incredible £37 million.

The rest of the top 5 is filled with Red Sparrow, last weeks top new entry falls to 3, and then hold overs Game Night at number 4 and lady Bird at number 5.

Worth noting is the 2 big Oscar winning film saw mixed fortunes this week, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri dropper from last week while The Shape Of Water saw a very slight increase.

Still showing its dominance on the UK box office is the Marvel titan Black Panther which tops the chart for a third straight weekend beating Red Sparrow which makes its debut.

Now in its 3rd week of release the film still manages to take over £3 million which brings the films total UK gross to just over £35 million.

The film is on track to be the second or third biggest Marvel film in the UK as its tracking slightly behind Avengers Assemble and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Highest new film of the week is the Jennifer Lawrence vehicle Red Sparrow which enters at number 2 with a gross of £1.8 million.

Still hitting the top 5 after 10 weeks of release which is simply incredible is The Greatest Showman.

The film takes £1.2 million from the weekend which pushes its UK gross to £35.2 million, it is second to Black Panther at the top grossing film of 2018.

Game Night makes its debut at number 4 this week with just over a million for the weekend and finishing off the top 5 is Lady Bird.
