$0 Keeping hold of the number 1 spot at the UK box office is Weapons~2026 which only drops from its debut last week by 45% and takes £1.5 Million this weekend.
THe movie which has become a major smash worldwide now has taken £6.2 Million in the UK in total grosses.
Highest new movie of the weekend is Materialists from director Celine Song and starring Dakota Johnson.
The movie takes £1.2 Million in its debut weekend which is more that twice that if the directors previous movie Past Lives which went on to gross £2.8 Million.

Released globaly this week there are 13 new releases looking to take your attention and where available could hit your local cinema and try and replace How to Train Your Dragon from the top of the global box office.

Thunderbolts from Marvel Studios is the top new global movie this weekend, making its debut at number 1 with $162 Million.
A Minecraft Movie drops to number 3 after a 4 weekend spell at the top of the global charts, the movies total global gross is $873.5 Million.
Action man Jason Statham tops the North American box office with A Working Man on its debut weekend of release with a opening gross of $15.5 Million in a weekend full of new releases.
Statham as an action hero is a staple of cinema these days and pulls in good number on debut weekends so next weeks box office will be interesting especially with the new release of A Minecraft Movie.
Falling to number 2 this weekend is Disney's trouble movie Snow White~2024 which for a live action remake is not pulling in the number despite better than expected reviews.
On its second weekend of relese it takes $14.3 Million for a total North American gross of nearly $67 Million - it could hit $100 Million but not a lot more!
The rest of the top 5 was new releases with religious series The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 1 at number 3, horror movie The Woman In the Yard at 4 and mystical drama/horror Death of a Unicorn at 5, perhaps the biggest surprise of the weekend considering the talent of Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd.

With the ever changing theatrical release schedule and many moving to streaming VOD services Bill & Ted Face The Music is again on the move, this time to 1st September and its getting a dual cinema and VOD release, we also got a new poster and mini trailer today!
The movie is directed by Dean Parisot and has a returning cast of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, who else could play Bill And Ted?
The release date has shifted to 1st September 2020 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic as has happened to so many films during the last 6 months, and in a move which should surprise no-one the movie will be released on streaming VOD services as well as a release in selected theatres.
Now enduring the monotony of middle-aged life, William "Bill" S. Preston, Esq. and Theodore "Ted" Logan are warned by a visitor from the future of the need for them to create a song in 78 minutes that will save all life on Earth and the entire universe.
The pair work with their families, old friends, famous musicians, and each other to complete the task.
