Marvel Studios have today released a new trailer for their upcoming movie Eternals which is directed by Oscar Winning Nomadland director Chloe Zhao.

The new trailer is deeper and more involved than the first trailer, we get to see more of the story, more of the special effect, and more of the emotion that will drive the movie.
The movie is set for a release on 5th November 2021 and looks to be one of the holiday hits of the year.

This week cinemas in the UK came back to life and started showing movies again, and in a week where it feels like things have been re-set and every one of the top 15 films in basically a new entry Peter Rabbit 2 leads the way.
As a testement to how much cinema has been missed by the british public over the last 5 months this weeks box office is the highest since March of 2020 when cinemas started to close and despite the fact that a number of the movies on the chart are on streaming platforms they still managed to bring in decent numbers.

UK box office top 5 breakdown 21st - 23rd May 2021
The start of the UK re-opening has the sequel movie to Peter Rabbit hit the top with a gross that gives it over 50% of the box office total takings.
A weekend gross of £4.6 Million has the movie very comfortably at the top, and considering the current situation with the pandemic its an opening which is only about £2.5 Million below the 2018 first movie.
The Oscar winning film from director Chlo Zhao is at number 2 this weekend with a gross of £874,785, which is very good considering its been available on streaming for some time.
Another movie which is available on streaming is the monster bash up which is at 3 this week with a weekend gross of £783,879.
The new movie from the Saw series is at number 4 this weekend, it stars Chris Rock in the lead role with Samuel L. Jackson along for support and it takes £779,107 on its debut.
Finally on this all new UK box office chart is a new horror film from director Evan Spiliotopoulos which stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead and opens its box office run with £405,391 .
Cinemas are back open in the UK after nearly 5 months of being closed and there are a whole host of new releases this week to mark the occasion.
Most of these new movies came out on Monday, and many of them have been delayed from last year, and some of them are already available on streaming so there is a nice mixed bag.

Very little has changed on this weeks US box office with little in the way of new releases while studios continue to release movies straight to VOD waiting for more certainty in the cinema marketplace.
With the Croods sequel remaining at the top for a second weekend the top new movie of the weekend was Nomadland at number 7, the movie was also available on VOD.

US box office top 5 breakdown 19th - 21st February 2021
After going back to the top on last weekends chart the Nicholas Cage starring animated sequel has proved to be one of the biggest hits during the COVID-19 pandemic, and at the current rate will overtake Tenet to be the biggest.
This week the movie stays at the top with $1.7 Million on its 13th weekend of release, 18% down from last weekend, for a total of over $50 Million.
Jumping back up to number 2 this weekend is the Denzel Washington starring thriller which falls 44% for a $1.15 Million weekend.
This gives the movie a total gross in America of $11.85 Million after 4 weeks of release.
Director Shaka King's highly praised movie falls to number 3 on its second weekend of release with a weekend gross of $905.000, a 56% drop from last weekend.
This gives the movie a North American total gross of $3.39 Million from its first 2 weeks of release.
The much anticipated DC Universe movie from Warner Bros. has not been the massive hit the studio may have hoped, largely due to a tighter COVID-19 lockdown over Christmas when it was released.
The movie has still taken $805,000 on its 9th weekend of release, only a 29% drop from last weekend, and has a total gross of $42.7 Million, it stays at number 4.
Liam Neeson is one of the few actors to have had 2 movies released during the lockdown and this week his second movie stays put at number 5 with $775,000 on its 6th weekend, 30% drop from last weekend, and has taken $11.45 Million in total.
