The movie is proving to be a megga success for Paramount studios, which will make them wonder why they waited 36 years to pruduce a sequel, but perhaps thats why its proving to be a hit, the movie has been getting phenomenal reviews and great word of mouth as not being a formulaic summer blockbuster.

The total gross for the movie is now $291.6 Million after 10 days in cinemas which makes it the 3rd top movie of 2022.

Spider Man: No Way Home

The Marvel/Sony Spider-Man movie spends its 6th weekend at the top of the US box office and has now taken $735.8 Million, a low 21% drop over last weekend, over its 7 week run.

This has been a phenomenal run for the web slinger which is the 4th top grossing movie ever in the US and it has the number 3 movie, Avatar, which is at $760.5 Million.

The movie is naturally the top grossing film in 2022 with $122.2 Million taken this year.

Scream

The horror franchise movie is at number 2 this weekend with $7.3 Million, a substantial 40% drop, giving the movie a total US gross of $62.1 Million after 3 weeks of release.

Sing 2

The animated sequel movie is at number 3 this weekend with $4.8 Million, only 17% down from last weekend, the movie has now taken an excellent $134,5 Million over 6 weeks of release.

Redeeming Love

The D.J. Caruso directed love story takes $1.8 Million on its second weekend, a 48% drop, giving the movie a total US gross of $6.5 Million.

The Kings Man

Six weeks on for the prequel movie which this week takes $1.75 Million, a very low 2% drop, which pushes the total gross for the movie to $34 Million from its 6 week run.

Toy Story 4 makes its debut at the top of the UK box office pushing 4 week champ Aladdin down to number 3, but its all good news for Disney who have back to back number 1 films.

Toy Story 4

The fourth in the series that started back in 1996 and was the first feature film for the fledgeling company Pixar makes its debut on the UK box office with £13.3 Million.

The original toy story made its debut with £5.35 million, but adjusted for inflation this is about £11.5 Million, in a very similar ball park.

For a better comparison Toy Story 3 made its debut in July 2010 to a phenomenal £21.2 Million which would be £27 Million adjusted for inflation, so this new film has a way to go.

Aladdin

The Disney live action film falls from the top after a fantastic 4 week run and takes £1.2 Million on its 5th weekend.

This pushes the films total UK gross to an excellent £32.5 Million, its still got a way to go to beat the live action champ Beauty And The Beasts £72.4 Million but it has done probably better than expected.

Men In Black: International

The films disappointing debut has continued this weekend as the Men In Black reboot falls to 3 with £1 Million bringing its 2 week total gross to £5 Million.

Rocketman

The Elton John film is hanging onto its top 5 place and this week is at 4 with £783,785 to boosts its total to £21 Million after 5 weeks.

Brightburn

Directed by David Yarovesky and Starring Elizabeth Banks and David Denman this horror superhero film makes its debut at number 5 with £509,030 and is the second highest new film of the week.

Avengers: Endgame

The Marvel film is 9 weeks on now and is about the leave the box office chart but after a record smashing run the film has a total UK gross of £88 Million and the film will most likely be the top grossing film of the year.

After a phenomenal run at the global box office Avengers: Endgame is starting to show signs of slowing down, although it remains at the top of this weeks global box office despite a strong showing from new movie Pokémon: Detective Pikachu.

Avengers: Endgame

The mighty Marvel film has had the most successful run on the global box office ever and broken every box office record along the way, this week it manges another $16 million from 56 countries on its third week of release.

This brings the films total global gross to $2.48 Billion and it is easily the second highest grossing film of all time and its 'only' $300 million behind Avatars all time record of $2.78 Billion.

Despite the slow down the film is still likely to beat Avatar and become the top grossing film of all time - next week will be a telling time to see how much the film slows when box office levels become 'normal'.

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

The Nintendo video game franchise has been entertaining kids in cartoon form since 2000, but now, maybe inspired by Disney, the Pocket Monsters make their way to the real world in the first live action film in the franchise.

Taking $161 million for the weekend from 63 countries on its debut the film wasn't too far behind Avengers: Endgame.

The Hustle

Also new this week is this retelling/remake starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson and despite bad reviews takes $27.2 million on its global debut from 37 countries.

Capernaum

Two weeks in and the Nadine Labaki directed movie is at 4 taking $8.3 million from 15 countries pushing its global total to $56.3 million.

Long Shot

Despite the good reviews the Jonathan Levine directed comedy falls to 5 this week with $7.6 million from 16 countries taking it total gross $25.8 million after 2 weeks.
