Making its debut at the top was Once Upon A Time ... In Hollywood starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt and directed by Quentin Tarantino
The film with the longest run was Casino Royale which had been on the box office for 24 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was The Lion King which had taken £66 Million after 5 weeks of release.
Also making its debut at the top was Pixels starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James and directed by Chris Columbus
The film with the longest run was Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back which had been on the box office for 33 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was Jurassic World which had taken £63.7 Million after 10 weeks of release.
The number one film was Toy Story 3 which had been at the top for 4 weeks and with a total gross of £58.9 Million it was also the top total grossing film.
The top new film of the week was The Last Airbender directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Jackson Rathbone and Dev Patel which entered the box office at number 3.
The film with the longest run was Shrek Forever After which had been on the box office for 7 weeks.
The number one film was Charlie And The Chocolate Factory which had been at the top for 3 weeks.
The top new film of the week was The Island directed by Michael Bay and starring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson which entered the box office at number 2.
The film with the longest run was Batman Begins which had been on the box office for 9 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was War Of The Worlds which had taken £29.7 Million after 7 weeks of release.
The number one film was Gone In 60 Seconds which had been at the top for 2 weeks.
The top new film of the week was Rules Of Engagement directed by William Friedkin and starring Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson which entered the box office at number 6.
The longerst run on the box office and the top total grossing film was Gladiator which had taken £29.7 Million over 14 weeks of release.
Making its debut at the top was Waterworld starring Kevin Costner and Chaim Jeraffi and directed by Kevin Reynolds
The film with the longest run was Man Of The House which had been on the box office for 10 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was Batman Forever which had taken £15.6 Million after 5 weeks of release.
Making its debut at the top was Die Hard 2: Die Harder starring Bruce Willis and Bonnie Bedelia and directed by Renny Harlin
The longerst run on the box office and the top total grossing film was Pretty Woman which had taken £12.1 Million over 12 weeks of release.
Despite there being 7 new releases hitting the top 15 films this week the top five films in the UK remain unchanged from last week with Suicide Squad remaining at the top.
On its second weekend of release the DC comics anti-hero picture took £4.2 million, down just over 66% from the previous weekend.
The film has now taken £22 million during its 10 days of release and is not that far behind stable mate Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice.
With the rest of the top 4 remaining fairly static the highest new film of the week is Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates starring Zak Efron and Anna Kendrick.
The comedy film took just over a million pound on its debut weekend in the UK, but the suspicion is it will fall fast in the coming weeks ready for a home video release.
Big suprise of the week is the Disney remake of Petes Dragon landing at number 6 with £844,090, one of the Mouse Houses smallest hits in a while.
Other new films this week are Newrve at number 7, The Shallows at number 8, Mohenjo Daro at number 11, Rustom at number 12 and finally Wiener Dog at number 14.
Longest running film this week and highest total gross is The Secret Life of Pets, 8 weeks on the chart and £33 million.
Historical Charts
A year ago - Pixels made its debut at the top of the box office smashing Fantastic Four down to number 6 after a single week at the top.
Five years ago - Rise of The Planet of The Apes took over the top spot on its debut knocking off Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 which fell to number 3.
Ten years ago - Cars remained at the top of the box office for a third week while highest new entry was Monster House right down at number 4.
Fifteen years ago - Cats and Dogs remained at the top of the box office for another week with The Parole Officer entering highest at number 5.
Twenty years ago - Independence Day was the top new film of the week making its debut at the top with Twister falling to number 2 on its third week of release.
Mission:Impossible Rogue Nation this week takes over as the top film on the Video charts on its debut week of release.
Rogue Nation was release at the UK box office, after being brought forward, on the 31st July 2015 to good reviews and a number 1 debut.
The film had a good run on the box office staying on the official top 15 for 9 weeks and had an extra 4 weeks floating around the box office.
Rogue Nation is the 172nd highest grossing film in the UK with a total gross of £21 million, it is also the 77th highest grossing film in the world with $682.1 million.
Ant-Man after a new entry at the top falls down to number 4 this week.
Also new on the UK video charts this week is Pixels at number 3 and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. at number 6.
This week the top global box office number one is the sequel film Maze Runner The Scorch trials which tops the chart after stalling along the way at number 4 last week.
This week the Maze Runner sequel takes $73.6 million from 67 territories and has to date made over $100 million in total.
After hitting the top for the second time last week Mission:Impossible Rogue Nation falls to number 5 with $23.4 million from 58 countries, the global gross is $656 million.
The Minions continue to do well across the world and this week sit at number 4 with an incredible $118 billion total gross.
