Event cinema has become a regular part of the UK and Ireland box office in recent years, and the one woman show Prima Facie - NT Live 2022 has just overtaken the one woman show Fleabag: NT Live 2019 as the top grossing event.

Prima Facie: NT Live 2022 stars Jodie Comer as a young brilliant barrister and has been received with fantastic reviews.

The movie is still playing in cinemas and has taken £4.47 to date while Fleabag: NT Live 2019 starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge was released in September 2019 and spent 32 weeks on the chart taking £4.46 Million.

In an intersting turn of events this weeks, 26th August 2022, the number one movie at the UK box office is an event cinema itself with the ever popular Andre Rieu taking his summer concert Andre Rieus 2022 Maastricht Concert: Happy Days Are Here Again to the top.
