Last week saw 1917 at the top of the UK box office, can any of this weeks new releases do enough to top the chart this weekend?
First up at cinemas this week is A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, a Dramatic movie directed by Marielle Heller who also directed The Diary Of A Teenage Girl in 2015 which grossed £81.2 Thousand in the UK.
It stars Tom Hanks who last starred in Toy Story 4 (2019).
The film also stars Matthew Rhys who last appeared in The Report (2019).
Next on this weeks new release schedule is The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
This new movie stars Adam Driver who's last film was Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)
It also stars Jonathan Pryce who appeared in The Wife (2018).
The film is brought to us by veteran director Terry Gilliam.
Next up this week is The Lighthouse which is directed by Robert Eggers who directed The Witch in 2016.
It stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe.
Also this week there is The Rhythm Section from director Reed Morano who also directed Meadowland in 2015.
The film features Blake Lively and Jude Law in starring roles.
The long list of new releases continues with Queen And Slim which is directed by Melina Matsoukas which is a directorial debut.
It stars Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith.
Finally there is Richard Jewell from director Clint Eastwood who also directed White Hunter Black Heart in 1990, the film stars Sam Rockwell and Kathy Bates.

At the UK box office this weekend, Friday, 24th January 2020, there are 4 new releases looking to take your attention at the local multiplex and knock 1917 from the top of the UK box office chart next week.
First up at cinemas this week is The Grudge, a movie directed by Nicolas Pesce who also directed Eyes Of My Mother in 2017 which grossed £2 Thousand in the UK.
It stars Tara Westwood who is making a feature film debut.
The film also stars Junko Bailey who is making a feature film debut.
Next on this weeks new release schedule is The Turning.

Jumanji: The Next Level makes its US debut at the top of the box office knocking Frozen II down to second place while Clint Eastwoods Richard Jewell and Sophia Takal's Black Christmas also enter the chart inside the top 5
The inevitable sequel to 2017's surprise hit movie lands at the top of the US box office this weekend with a gross of $60.1 Million.
The previous movie went on to take $404.5 Million in the US and there is no reason why this one wont get into that terrestory as well.
Disney's sequel movie falls from the top after 3 weeks into second place with a gross of $19.1 Million.
This takes the films total gross in the US to $366.5 Million after 4 weeks of release and its closing in fast on the original's $400 Million total US take.
The murder mystery hit from director Rian Johnson falls to 3 this week with $9.2 Million for a $78.9 total after 3 weeks.
Director Clint Eastwood brings his latest true life drama to the screen and it lands this week at number 4 with a $5 Million debut.
Starring Imogen Poots and Cary Elwes this seasonal horror movie lands at number 5 this week with $4.4 Million.
The mega smash hit from Warner Bros. spends its (probably) last week on the box office this week at number 15 and its the longest running film with 11 weeks clocked up.
Its also the highest total grossing film on this weeks box office with $333 Million taken to date.
