The sequel over 35 years in the making, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice makes its long awaited box office debut at the top of the UK chart with a gross of £7.3 Million.

Jurassic World Dominion

Taking over at the top of the worldwide box office this weekend is the latest, and perhaps the last, of the long running dinosaur series of movies started way back in 1993 with Jurassic park.

This new entry which is a sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom climbs to the top after a quiet launch last weekend, this week it takes $319.9 Million from 73 countries, an 83% increase over last weekend.

This gives the movie a total global gross of $389 Million and it takes it into the top 10 movies of 2022 at number 10.

Top Gun Maverick

Falling to number 2 after a two week spell at the top the Tom Cruise movie takes $102 Million on its 3rd weekend of release from 65 countries, a 39% drop over last weekend.

The movie has now taken $747 Million iver its box office run and is the 3rd top movie of 2022.

Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness

Falling to 3 this weekend is the Doctor Strange sequel movie which takes $10.2 Million in its 6th weekend of release, from 49 countries, a 50% drop.

the movie has now taken $930.2 Million over its 6 week run as its approaches the $1 Billion mark and it is the top movie of 2022.

The Roundup

The South Korean action movie is still only released in 4 countries and this week goes back into the top 5 at 4 from 6.

The movie takes $7.5 Million over the weekend, a 29% drop, giving the movie a total of $81.1 Million after 4 weeks.

The Bad Guys

Staying at 5 this weekend is the animated movie which takes $6.6 Million from 72 countries, a 46% drop over last weekend giving the movie a total of $229.6 Million after 13 weeks.

The next movie in the mega successful Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is given a 12A age rating by the BBFC for shows in the UK.

The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange who has played the character since the first Doctor Strange movie through to last years Spider-Man: No Way Home and Elizabeth Olson as Wanda Maximoff, the actress has played the character since Avengers: Age of Ulton through to the mega successful Disney+ series Wandavision.

The movie is directed by Sam Raimi who brought us the horror classic The Evil Dead in 1981 but was also responsible for the original Spider-Man trilogy starring Toby Maguire from 2002-2007.

Scream

Back for a 5th movie in the series, and this time once again just called Scream the long running franchise re-unites all the primary cast from the 1996 original.

The movie makes its debut at the top of the US box office with a gross of $30.6 Million making it the second highest grossing movie of 2022.

Spider Man: No Way Home

Falling to number 2 this weekend after a 4 week spell at the top is the Marvel/Sony MCU movie which takes $20.8 Million this weekend, a 37% drop over last week.

This gives the movie a total US gross of $698.7 Million, it is the top movie so far in 2022 with $88.8 Million and is also the 6th top grossing movie of all time in North America.

Sing 2

The animated sequel falls to number 3 this weekend after three weeks at number 2 with a weekend gross of $8.2 Million, a 31% drop over last weekend.

The Garth Jennings directed movie has now taken $119.3 Million in North America and with $29.6 Million in 2022 is the 3rd top movie of the year.

The action movie starring Diane Kruger and Penelope Cruz falls to number 4 this week with $2.3 Million, a hefty 51% drop over its debut last weekend, giving the movie a $8.4 Million total and the 5th top movie of 2022.

The King's Man

Four weeks on and the prequel movie falls to number 5 with $2.3 Million, a 39% drop, pushing its gross to $28.6 Million and the 4th top movie of 2022 with $9.1 Million.
