Kenneth Branagh stars in a directs the third in his Hercule Poirot detective movie which makes its debut at the top of the UK box office on its debut weekend.
The movie takes £2 Million to take over at the top which is a shade better the the previous movie Death On the Nile which took £1.9 Million.
The Nun II falls from the top afte a single weekend which has taken £3.8 Million after 2 weeks of release.

The margins were tight at the North American box office this weekend as The Nun II hangs on to a second weekend at the top by less than $300,000.
With The Nun II staying at the top A Haunting In Venice has to contend with making its debut at number 2 with a debut of $14.2 Million.
The movie manages a better debut than the previous movie in the Branagh, Hercule Poirot series, Death On the Nile took $12.8 Million on its debut.
