$32 Million Released in the US this weekend, Friday, 30th September 2022, there are 7 new releases looking to take your attention and where available could hit your local cinema and try and replace Don't Worry Darling from the top of the North American box office.

As Jurassic World: Dominion spends its 2nd weekend at the top of the US box office the new Pixar movie Lightyear makes its debut at number 2.
Meanwhile further down the box office Brian and Charles directed by Jim Archer makes its debut at number 10 with a first weekend gross of $198,000.
Spending a second weekend at the top of the US box office the Jurassic World sequel movie wich takes $58.6 Million, a large 59% drop over its debut last weekend.
This pushes the movies total gross afte 2 weekends of release to $249.7 Million on its way to quarter of a billion dollars.
The movie is now the fourth top grossing movie of 2022 in the US with just The Batman, Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness and Top Gun Maverick ahead of it.
The latest Pixar movie gets its debut in cinemas instead of the Disney+ streaming service which the last couple of movie have, and despite the mixed critical reviews the movie makes its debut at number 2 this weekend.
Taking $51 Million it is higher than the debut of the last Pixar movie to hit cinemas Onward, but that movie released in March 2020 when the country was on the verge of a national lockdown which effected its debut.
The movie has a tough road ahead considering the critical response and we could see this hit Disney+ sooner rather than later.
With a small 12% drop from last weekend the Tom Cruise starring sequel movie takes $44 Million on its 4th weekend on the box office.
This pushes the movies total US gross to an amazing $466 Million making the top grossing movie of 2022, and with the half billion mark achievable by next weekend this could remain the top movie of the year.
Interesting fact - the top 3 movies this week make the lion share of this weeks box office in the US.
The MCU sequel movie takes $4.2 Million over its 7th weekend which, a small 14% drop.
This gives the movie a total North American gross of $405 Million and it is the second top grossing movie of 2022.
The animated movie TV spin off falls to number 5 this weekend with $1.1 Million, a large 53% drop, giving the movie a US total of $29.7 Million after 4 weeks of release.
The latest in the long running Dinosaur series Jurassic World Dominion hits the top of the US box office on its first weekend of release.
Further down the box office chart Indian romantic comedy Ante Sundharaniki makes its debut at number 10 with $620,000.
Since the original Jurassic park movie in 1993 the Jurassic movies have pulled in the audiences, and this summer we get the conclusion to the 6 movie saga which makes its debut this weekend at number 1 on the US box office.
The movie takes an amazing $143.3 Million over its opening weekend, including previews, which is second in 2022 only to Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness.
There is a good road ahead for the move, we can expect maybe a 60% drop next weekend but it is already the 7th top movie of 2022 and you can expect it to go top 3 by the end of the year.
Another small drop for the Top Gun sequel of 44% as the movie falls from the number 1 spot after 2 weeks with a weekend take of $50 Million.
This gives the movie a total US gross of an incredible $393.3 Million making it the second top movie of 2022 in North America.
The MCU sequel movie drops to number 3 this weekend with $4.8 Million, a 47% drop over last weekend on its 6th week on the chart.
This gives the movie a total US gross of $397.8 Million as it clings onto the top spot of 2022, but by next weekend we could have either the Dinosaur movie or the plane movie take over.
The animated movie falls to number 4 this weekend with $2.3 Million on its 3rd weekend, a 50% drop giving the movie a total US gross of $27 Million.
Finally on the top 5 is the animated smash hit movie which falls to number 5 with $2.2 Million after 8 weeks, a small 33% drop, which gives the movie a total gross of $91 Million.
Also following the in the footsteps, this time of animated TV series The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers makes its way from TV show to movie as The Bobs Burgers Movie makes its debut at number 5 this weekend.
Top Gun released in 1986 was the breakout movie for Tom Cruise and catapulted the young actor into mega stardom, there have been many attempts to bring a sequel to the big screen and 36 years later we finally get the movie.
After amazing reviews the movie flies into the box office at number 1 on its debut weekend with a gross of £15 Million making it the highest grossing debut for the actor, and the 27th highest debut of all time.
Its unfair to compare the gross of the sequel with the original but Top Gun opened to around £4.2 Million in 1986 which adjusted for inflation is about £16 Million, it went on to gross around £8.5 Million in the UK which adjusted for inflation is about £31 Million.
The movie is already the 8th top film in 2022, it should end up in the top 5 if not the top 3 by year end.
After spending 3 weeks at the top the sequel movie to Doctor Strange falls to number 2 this weekend with a gross os £1.3 Million, a fairly big 54% drop over last weekend.
This gives the film a total UK gross of £37.7 Million after 4 weeks of release, it is currently the top grossing movie on the top 15.
For 2022 it is currently the second top grossing movie but it should take The Batman by next weekend to become the top movie of the year so far, unless Top Gun Maverick spoils the party, and with a very long holiday weekend coming who can tell!
The independent movie about the multiverse has done amazingly well considering it went up against Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness but the movie peaked at number 2 last weekend and drops to number 3 this week with £486,829, a 42% drop.
After 3 weeks on the box office the movie has taken £3 Million in the UK.
Dropping to number 4 this weekend is the British aristocracy movie which takes £350,593, a 54% drop, over its 5th weekend giving the movie a total UK gross of £13 Million.
The sequel has not done as well as its predecessor as that movie had taken £25 Million at this point in its run having spent 3 weeks at the top.
The movie is the 10th top movie of 2022.
The Belcher family make their big screen debut as they transfer to the big screen which takes £346,591 on its debut.
The TV series Bob's Burgers is not as big in the UK as it is in America where the movie made its debut at number 3, and compared to The Simpsons Movie which made its debut on 2007, that movie took an amazing £13.6 Million and debuted at the top, The Simpsons are an institution thought!
The largest memorial day weekend opening and the highest opening of one of the biggest stars in the world isn't a bad claim for this weekends US box office as Top Gun Maverick makes its debut at the top.
Also inside the top 5 is the animated feature The Bobs Burgers Movie which is new at number 3 while the Indian sequel movie F3 Fun and Frustration is new at 10 with a debut of just over a $1 Million.

The movie take a respectable $12.6 Million over the memorial day holiday, and with good reviews and school holidays on the horizon, like The Bad Guys this could hang around for a while.
The sequel movie based on the British Aristocracy falls to number 4 on its second weekend of release with $5.9 Million, a big 63% drop over last weekend, giving the movie a $28.4 Million total.
Falling to 3 this weekend is the animated former number 1 movie which takes $4.6 Million on its 6 weekend of release, a small 25% drop, giving the movie a total of $81.3 Million after 6 weeks of release.
