$752.1 Million Todd Phillips directed Joked makes its box office debut at the top of the chart as it removes Downton Abbey after a 3 weeke spell while Judy manages a number 2 debut.
Starring Joaquin Phoenix the new villain movie from the DC Universe hits the top of the box office on its debut with an excellent £12.5 Million weekend.
This meakes the film the 57th top opening film in the UK ever, beating The Inbetweeners 2 and coming in behind The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
With such a big opening expect the films gross to be one of DC's better grosses and with good reviews and Oscar potential this movie could run well into next year.
Renée Zellweger gives what critics are calling an Oscar worthy performance in the bio-pic movie of Judy Garland which opens at number 2 with a very respectable £2 Million.
Again with good reviews and mentions of Oscars this Rupert Goold directed movie could have a very good run in the UK.
The British high class movie falls from the top to number 3 on its 4th weekend of release with £1.4 Million giving the film a £23.1 Million total, the film is now the 10th highest grossing of 2019.
The surprise film of the autumn falls to number 4 this weekend with £590,645 but the Lorene Scafaria directed movie had taken £6.1 Million in the UK.
The Brad Pitt starring space drama falls to number 5 this weekend with £467,983 after 3 weeks of release, but the films £5.5 Million total is very respectable.
The British public can't get enough of Disney's animated remake and this week if the top total grossing movie on the box office with £75 Million, after 12 weeks of release it is still at number 6!
Also from Disney is the longest run on this weeks box office as the Pixar film notches up a 16th weekend, the film has taken £65 Million so far.
This week, as predicted, the last film the in The Hunger Games series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, flies to the top of the box office.
Catching Fire and Mockingjay Part 1 both debuted with almost the same figure around £12 million, the first film in the series debuted with £4 million while this last part enters the box office with £11 million.
Although not the lowest debut this certainly shows a demising interest in the series, the luke warm reviews haven't helped the film either.
Spectre falls to number 2 this week despite still grossing good number, this weeks £3.8 million brings the total gross in the UK to £84.6 million, this places the film at number 3 on the UK all time box office grosses.
Other new films this week has The Dressmaker making its debut at number 7 and The Perfect Guy entering at number 10.
Highest total grossing film of the box office is, no surprise, Sprectre.

A year ago - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 made its debut at the top of the UK box office knocking Intersteller from the top to number 3.
Five years ago - Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 started the end of the Harry Potter series by debuting at the top, it knocked Due Date down to number 2.
Ten years ago - Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire was the film making its debut at the top while In Her Shoes fell to number 2.
Fifteen years ago - What Lies Beneath remains at the top for another week leaving Little Nicky to enter at number 3.
Twenty years ago - A Walk In The Clouds was the highest new film knocking Crimson Tide down to number 2.
We still have just under 3 months to go before we reach the end of the year but already the top 6 movies of 2015 have made more than 2014's top movie.

The Martian is still doing very well at the UK box office and could reach 2014's The Lego Movies figure, Spectre has just been released and will give 2015's Jurassic World a run for its money.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is released in a couple of weeks and stands a good chance of making over £35 million.
As if leaving the best to last we have of course Disney/Lucasfilms will release Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18th.
An interesting scenario with this film, being released so late in the year much of its gross will come in 2016, but I fully expect it to break various records during its first couple of weeks and it will make over £35 million before the end of the year.

The old British favourite Paddington hits the top of the UK video charts on it's debut week of release.
Paddington was released at the box office on November 28th 2014 to much hype and debuted at the top of the box office in that first week.
Over a 15 week stay on the box office it did amazing business and to date has made £37 million pound, it is still on general release, and still on the top 15 box office.
Although not a major hit worldwide it is the 45th highest grossing film ever in the UK, just ahead of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of The Clones and just behind Monsters, Inc. Last weeks top film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 falls just the one place this week.
Other new film on the video chart are: The Drop at number 5 and The Horseman at number 6.
