The top new film of the week was The Last Airbender directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Jackson Rathbone and Dev Patel which entered the box office at number 3.
The film with the longest run was Shrek Forever After which had been on the box office for 7 weeks.
The number one film was Charlie And The Chocolate Factory which had been at the top for 3 weeks.
The top new film of the week was The Island directed by Michael Bay and starring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson which entered the box office at number 2.

The number one film was Gone In 60 Seconds which had been at the top for 2 weeks.

The film with the longest run was Man Of The House which had been on the box office for 10 weeks.
The top total grossing film of the week was Batman Forever which had taken £15.6 Million after 5 weeks of release.
Making its debut at the top was Die Hard 2: Die Harder starring Bruce Willis and Bonnie Bedelia and directed by Renny Harlin
The longerst run on the box office and the top total grossing film was Pretty Woman which had taken £12.1 Million over 12 weeks of release.
The Plane, the plane, the famous words of Tattoo as he lets Mr. Roarke know the action is about to kick off, and now Sony have a remake which has more of a horror slant, and the first trailer is out now.
The new movie is directed by Jeff Wadlow who has a pedigree in horror movies and stars Maggie Q in the title role so the movie will have a very different feel to the TV show.
the film will stay true to the TV show aspects, guest are seen arriving on a plane, but by its nature it'll probably turn into a bit of a slasher movie by the end and not all guest will escape the island!
The film has a release date of Valentines Day which is becoming the new Halloween for horror releases.

The Meg retained its lead on the global box office this week with no film really giving it a challenge with the highest new film, Europe Raiders, coming in at number 7.
The giant shark movie starring Jason Statham grossed $88 million dollars from 56 countries on its second weekend of global release.
This brings the film total global gross to $314.1 million after 2 weeks of release.
Staying at 2 on the chart is Chinese film The Island which takes $38.7 million from 3 countries to bring its total global gross to $163.1.
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is at 3 this week, a $31.9 million weekly gross brings the films total to $425.9 million.
Mission:Impossible Fallout is at number 4 with $31 million while Crazy Rich Asians is at number 5 with $25.9 million.
Due for release this Summer Jurassic Woeld: Fallen Kingdom gets a second trailer revealing more of the story.
Looks like they have created (another) new Dinosaur which is on the rampage.
This trailer is all teeth and saliva but it looks exciting and Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard look like they are in good form.

In a mixed up week at the UK box office, using figures including 2 days of previews Adam Sandlers Pixels takes over a the top, the true winner is Inside Out.
If you take away the 2 days of previews Pixar's Inside Out is by far the biggest film of the weekend, and indeed of the week with only a 3% drop from the previous weeks takings.
But lets not take away from the given champion and Pixels duly takes over at the top of the UK box office with a weekend gross of £2.7 million.
After a slamming from critics last weeks top film, Fantastic Four, makes a dramatic fall from the top and lands at number 6 this week with a total gross after 2 weekends of £4.8 million.
The re-image of the superhero franchise simply hasn't worked and the new film will come no-where near the 2005 version which took £12.4 million or it's sequel 4: Rise of The Silver Surfer which took almost the same amount.
Other new film this week include The Man From U.N.C.L.E. at number 4 and Trainwreck, on a limited release, at number 5, Simon Pegg's new film Absolutely Anything enters at number 9.

A year ago - The Inbetweeners 2 continued their run at the top of the box office while The Expendables 3 was new at 3.
Five years ago - Toy Story 3 continued to rule the box office at the top while the critically panned The Last Airbender was new at 3.
Ten years ago - Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was still the top film in the UK while new at 2 was The Island with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson
Fifteen years ago - Gone In 60 Seconds stayed at the top for another week while, no new entries inside the top 5 so Rules of Engagement entered highest at number 6.
Twenty years ago - Batman Forever gave up the top spot to the much criticised Waterworld starring Kevin Costner and directed by Kevin Reynolds.
Twenty five years ago - Tom Cruise was at the top with Days of Thunder on its debut weekend knocking Total Recall into second place.
