Directed by Chris Columbus and starring a young Macaulay Culkin this holiday favourite was a massive hit in December of 1990 where it was a number 1 movie for 3 weeks.

With only and handful of cinemas open in Scotland and Whales the movie took £2,705 over the weekend.

The film has taken a total of £9.6 Million since its initial release and has spent 28 weeks on the box office.

Honest Thief

The Liam Neeson movie refuses to go away and this week jumps back up to number 2 with £1,963, a 3% increase from last weekend.

6 weeks in and the movie has taken a total of £662,012 at the box office.

The Secret Garden~2020

Dropping to number 3 this week is the adaptation directed by Marc Munden which takes £1,657 over the weekend, a drop of 37%, this gives the movie a £677,429 total after 6 weeks of release.

Two By Two: Overboard!

Dropping from the top this week is the animated sequel which takes £1,599, dropping 55% from last weeks total, this gives the movie a total gross os £996,391 over 6 weeks.

Wolfwalkers

Released at the end of October this animated tale from directors Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart has been bouncing around the box office for a few weeks now and had disappeared completely, but this week makes a re-entry at number 5.

This weekend it took £1,496 which boosts its total to £37,721 after 3 weeks on the box office since release.

This weekend saw Two By Two: Overboard! rebound back to the top of the Uk box office in a marketplace where only cinemas in Whales and Scotland were open with the lockdown in England still set to last another couple of weekends.

Highest new movie was the documentary Collective at number 3 while further down the box office The Kid Detective made a debut at number 7 with £1,478.

Going back to the top of the UK box office after a couple of weekends away is the animated feature directed by Toby Genkel and Sean McCormack

On its 5th weekend of release, and its 3rd at the top the movie takes £3.422, 20% up from last weekend, for a total of £994,099, so close to a million!

The Secret Garden~2020

Falling from the top, Marc Munden's retelling of the classic novel is at number 2 this weekend with £2,635.

The movie is down 49% from last weekend and has taken a total of £647,560 over 5 weeks of release.

Collective

Highest new movie of the weekend is this documentary by director Alexander Nanau which takes £1.926 on its debut.

Honest Thief

The Liam Neeson starring revenge thriller directed by Mark Williams falls to number 4 this week with £1,910, a 40% drop from last weekend giving the movie £659,443 over 5 weeks of release.

A Christmas Gift From Bob

Three weeks on the this little feel good movie from director Charles Martin Smith makes its way into the top 5.

The movie has climbed each week its been released and this week takes £1,757, only 5% down from last weekend.

The movie has now taken £6,075 after 3 weeks of release.

Last weekend saw The Secret Garden climb to the top of the UK box office, but in England cinemas are still closed so again the box office is looking at the few cinemas open in Wales and Scotland.

The UK box office did better this week than last but its still relying on a handful of cinemas open in Scotland and Wales during the English lockdown, and The Secret Garden makes an incredible leap to the top.

Highest new movie of the week is the documentary Billie at number 2 while there is also a re-entry from War Horse Nation Theatre Live from 2014.

The only other top new movie of the week is director Andrew Cohn's The Last Shift which enters at number 14 with £501, Mogul Mowgli climbs up the chart to number 13 this week with £505 which is a 94% increase from last weekend.

Released 4 weeks ago and making its debut at number 3 on the box office with £154,087 the movie makes a jump to the top of the box office this week with £5,147, a 67% increase from last weekend.

The movie which stars Julie Walters and Colin Firth has now taken £607,509 at the UK box office.

Billie

Highest new movie of the week comes in at number 2 with a debut gross of £5,074 making one of the lowest highest grossing movies ever in the UK!

Honest Thief

The Liam Neeson starring drama falls to number 3 this weekend with £3.164, up 8% from last week giving the movie a total gross of £655,650 after 4 weeks of release.

War Horse: NT Live 2014

Coming out of nowhere and making a re-entry at number 4 is the cinema version of the original stage show of War Horse from 2014, Steven Spielberg directed the actual movie version of the book in 2012.

The event movie takes £2,918 over the weekend pushing its total gross since release to £2.72 Million.

Its worth noting that this is by far the highest position on the chart the movie has been.

Two By Two: Overboard!

Finally falling to number 5 this weekend is the surprise hit animated tale which this week takes £2,724, up 13% from last weekend, for a total gross of £990,229 after 4 weeks of release.
