This weekend, Friday 18th November 2022, there are 9 new films released in North America and where available looking to hit the box office chart, but can they challenge last weekends top movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, for the number 1 spot?

The selling power of The Divergent Series Insurgent was too strong for any new comers this week although there was a trio of new films inside the top 5.
Highest new film of the week is Run All Night starring the ever popular Liam Neeson which enters the video chart at number 2.
The film was released at UK cinemas on 13th March 2015 entering the box office at number 2, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was too strong to be beaten that week.
It was a bad week for film that week and on it's debut it made less than £1 million pound, the film didn't hand around for long a disappeared after a 3 week run taking £2 million in total.
Also new inside the top 5 this week Get Hard at number 3 and The Water Diviner number 4.
Also new on the video chart this week is Robot Overlords which enters at number 7.
In what became fantastic weekend gross Fast & Furious 7 makes its debut at the top of the UK box office with ease, although last weeks top film still does decent numbers.
Fast & Furious 7 took an excellent £12.7 million over the Easter weekend and in the process not only became the top film in the motoring franchise but is also the 31st highest film debut in the UK.
The movie has a debut gross similar to that of a Hunger games movie so we can expect to see this new Furious film gross over £30 million in the UK, in a similar comparison its debut is near that of Fifty Shades of Grey which has to date taken £34 million.
Last weeks top film, Cinderella, takes nearly £3 million for the weekend placing it at number 2 with a total UK gross now siting at just over £10 million.
Also new this week is The Water Diviner which makes its debu at 7 with While We're Young is at number 8.
Also making an appearance due to screening by the BFI is the 1982 Ridley Scott sci-fi classic Blade Runner which has taken £267,452 over the weekend.
