That jaw-dropping figure locks it in as the second-highest pre-screening take in UK cinema history. The ultimate box office crown is still safely held by Avengers: Endgame, which brought in a massive £11.9 million during its 2019 debut.

While Spidey couldn't quite topple Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the UK, it absolute crushed them in North America.
