$0 The summer cinema season came to a bit of a grinding halt this weekend with no big new releases to draw cinema goers.
After a couple of new big film last weekend underperforming this weekend the John Krasinski directed movie IF~2024 goes back to the top of the box office with a weekend gross of £1.5 Million, a tiny 4% drop over last week.
This pushes last weeks top movie The Garfield Movie dropping down to number 2 with £1,3 Million, which means that there are to family oriented movies at the top.
Furiosa drops to number 4 this weekend and making its debut at 2 last week with under a million pound and a 51% drop.
THe highest new entry is at number 6 with the 20th anniversary re-release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, while the top new movie is Haikyu The Movie: Decisive Battle At the Garbage Dump at 7 with £270,095.
The fourth movie in the recent series of Planet of the Apes movies, Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes has been given a 12A age rating in the UK for moderate violence, threat, injury detail.
The movie stars Freya Allan who has previously been seen in Gunpowder Milkshake and Baghead, it also stars William H. Macy who has previously starred in Inland Empir and >WarGames.
The movie is directed by Wes Ball who is responsible for directing The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.

Continuing the story started by Rocky back in 1976, Creed III is given a 12A age rating for moderate violence, infrequent strong language. The movie stars Michael B Jordan who returns once again as Adonis Creed from Creed and Creed II, but this time the actor return to direct the movie as well.
The movie also stars Jonathan Majors who is about to appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it also stars Tessa Thompson who also starred in the first two movies.
