$28.3 Million The sequel over 35 years in the making, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice makes its long awaited box office debut at the top of the UK chart with a gross of £7.3 Million.
The movie has had generally very good reviews and with the massive fan base which the original movie from Tim Burton has gained it was bound to be a hit.
Also there is an '80's revival vibe at the moment where big movies from that era are betting sequels/follow ups/remakes which has not harmed its success.
Last weeks top movie Despicable Me 4 falls to number 6 this weekend, seemingly a big drop but the movie is on its 9th weekend and it was a second spell at the top.
Inside Out 2 has now spent 13 weeks on the chart and has made £58.7 Million, it is the top grossing movie of the year.

Released in the UK this weekend, Friday, 6th October 2023, there are 6 new releases looking to take your attention and where available could hit your local cinema and try and replace The Creator from the top of the UK box office.

The strength of Toy Story 4 was too much for newcomer Yesterday this week as the Pixar movie remains at the top and the Beatles inspired film enters the box office at number 2.
Remaining at the top for a second weekend the animated hit takes £8.3 Million, down less than 50% from last week.
This takes the films total gross in the UK to £27 Million, compared to Toy Story 3 which is the highest grossing film in the series this is £10 Million lower at the same stage of release.
The Beatles inspires hit directed by Danny Boyle and written by Richard Curtis makes its debut at number 2 this week with £2.2 Million.
The Diretors highest grossing film in the UK to date is Slumdog Millionaire from 2009 who's debut was very similar to this, that film went on to gross £31.6 Million.
Richard Curtis biggest hit to date is LoveActually from 2003 which had a far bigger debut and went on to gross £36.2 Million in the UK with out the Oscar glory Slumdog had.
Disney's live action movie is still going strong in the UK and this week takes £694,716 for a total UK gross of £33.8 Million after 6 weeks of release.
Sinking fast but still with its neck above the water a weekend take of £515,506 keeps it in the top 5 at 4 and pushes its total to £6 Million.
There is no doubt this has not been the revival of the series that was hoped and it must be in question if we will see any more Men In Black films going forward.
Daniel Craigs first outing as James Bond is currently getting the Secret Cinema treatment and this has pushed in film back into the top 5 this week with a weekend gross of £515,506.
This now pushes the films total UK gross to £57.2 Million since its original release in December 2006, it is the 19th highest grossing movie ever in the UK.
The Marvel smash hit is still doing very well in the UK and this week it is at number 6 after 10 weeks of release and has an incredible UK gross of £88.3 Million.
New films to hit the UK multiplexes this week and the Superman reboot Man of Steel and Joss Whedon's follow up to Avengers Assemble, Much Ado About Nothing.
A firm favorite with comic book fans, the all American hero is back in cinemas this week with Man of Steel. Zack Snyder reboot of the franchise moves away from the comic book idea portrayed by Christopher Reeves and the attempted revival by Bryan Singer and give the story a grittier real feel.
After Buffy, Firefly and the mega film Avengers Assemble Joss Whedon has turn his attention to Shakespeare, and Black and White. This modern re-telling of the classic has been well received by critics but has a small release this weekend.
