Another film making its debut at the top was Shrek Forever After starring Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy and directed by Mike Mitchell

The top total grossing film of the week was Pretty Woman which had taken £11.9 Million after 6 weeks of release.
Director Todd Phillips movie Joker is proving that not all thing superhero has to be Disney as the movie spends a 5th weekend at the top, while the animated movie The Addams Family makes a very rare move on the chart and Doctor Sleep makes its debut lower than expected.
The Joaquin Phoenix starring movie spends a 5th weekend at the top of the box office, the most in 2019, with a weekend gross of £2.5 Million, yet again a very slim drop from the previous week.
Admittedly this is not the summer where weekend grosses are much higher but this is still an massive achievement and the film has been a monster hit for the DC Universe and Warner Bros.
The movies total gross in the UK is now £51.5 Million, it is the 4th highest grossing film of 2019 and is now the 35th highest grossing film ever.
After a fairly low debut of number 4 last weekend the animated film based on the 60's TV show makes the unprecedented move of not only going up the chart to number 2 but also taking more money than its debut.
It was a school holiday which will have helped the movie but a weekend gross of £2.2 Million is more than £100,000 more than last week.
The film has a total gross of £6.9 Million.
Interesting to note that over the week Monday - Sunday it actually beat Joker in week grosses by a slim margin.
Disneys sequel movie falls to 3 this weekend with £1.8 Million for a total gross of £11.6 Million after 3 weeks of release.
Highest new film of the week is the long awaited sequel to Stanley Kubrick's cult classic The shining.
The movie is also based on a Stephen King book and after much publicity the movie makes is debut at number 4 with a weekend gross of £1.4 Million.
A lot lower than expectation, and with Halloween well and truly out of the way, the film may struggle over the coming months, especially with some big movie due for release over the rest of November and December.
Hailed as a return to form for the Terminator franchise the movie has simply not ignited the box office and on its second weekend it falls to number 4 with a weekend gross of £1.2 Million.
This means that after 2 weeks the film has taken just £5.3 Million, which is lower than the previous movie, Terminator Genisys, by a couple of million.
The movie is also not performing as well as expected across the world, does this mean that the Terminator franchise is dead? This film reportedly cost over $200 Million to make, not including marketing cost, will the studio still want to make more movie when this one looks like it will loose money?
The British TV show movie is at number 15 this weekend and has spent 8 weeks on the box office, the longest, and has a total UK gross of £27.7 Million.
The latest Terminator film went wide this last weekend and although the film topped the global box office its a worrying time for the franchise, highest new entry is Weathering With You at number 6.
The new terminator movie opens wide this week in an extra 39 countries which brings its country count to 49 and takes $101.9 Million over the weekend.
The film way have made its way to the top of the global box office but this is lower at this point in the films run than the previous film Terminator Genisys which was considered a flop.
This entry in the long running franchise was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy, ironically like the previous film, but with these figures a long post mortem will need to be had.
Despite a slow start the Angelina Jolie sequel movie seems to be holding its own at the box office and this week takes $52.6 Million from 57 countries.
This boosts the films total global gross to $383.2 Million after 3 weeks of release, the film no doubt helped by Halloween last week and heavy promotion from Disney.
The DC villain movie continues to defy the odds and this week falls only to number 3 after 5 weeks of release with $50.9 Million from 80 Countries.
This pushes the films total gross to $934 Million and it should pass the Billion mark by next weekend or the weekend after.
Last weeks top film falls to number 4 this week with $47.7 Million from just 3 countries, the film total gross is now $170.2 Million.
The animated feature based on the Spooky Kooky family is at 5 this week with $34.4 Million from 33 countries for a total of $129 Million after 4 weeks.
Highest new film of the week is at number 6 with this Chinese animated movie, its not the films first week of release but as the film expands to 11 countries it makes its first appearance on the global box office.
The film takes $26.2 Million over the weekend for a total gross of $161.3 Million.
At the start of the weekend the big money would have been on Terminator: Dark Fate to top the UK box office this weekend but the new franchise film actually came nowhere near Joker which easily keeps the top spot for a fourth straight week.
The Todd Philips directed movie has done far better at the box office than studio Warner Bros. could ever have expected and this week spends its fourth weekend at the top as its weekend grosses show no sign of slowing too much as it takes £3.5 Million over the weekend.
The films total UK gross is now at £46.7 Million after 4 weeks of release, this puts the film at number 4 on the 2019 top grossing films list, ahead of Disney bog hitter Captain Marvel.
The movie has also broken into the top 50 all time UK movies as it slides past 2017's The Greatest Showman to become the 48th top grossing film in the UK.
The movie is also the top total grossing film on the box office this weekend.
All hopes are on this movie to save the Terminator franchise since the disastrous box office performance of Terminator Genisys.
The new movie which brings Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor back into the mix makes its debut at number 2, the same as Genisys, the bad news is that the film, 4 years later, can only bring in £2.8 Million, less than the £3.7 Million of the previous movie.
This is worrying for the franchise as this was, once again, supposed to re-boot the series and bring it back to the glory days of The Terminator and T2, but the signs suggest it could be dead before its arrived.
Disney's high budget sequel falls to 3 this weekend with a gross of £2.1 Million, this takes the films total to £7.5 Million after 2 weeks of release.
On the Monday - Sunday weekly chart the film remains at number 2 having grossed £4.2 Million over the week.
A new animated adaptation of the spooky, Kooky family hits the box office at number 4 this weekend with a debut gross of £2.1 Million.
Falling to number 5 is the latest Aardman animated movie which takes £1 Million for the weekend and £3.3 Million in total after 2 weeks.
The movie about the posh British house is at number 15 this weekend, its has the longest run at 7 weeks and has taken £27.3 Million.
